Upfront capital expenses can put a burden on anyone.

This grocery store will soon open, thanks to an amazing infrastructure and proven business plan.

At the end of the day, a business needs to be profitable. Duh, right. A blinding flash of the obvious. There is the obvious need for capital investment and payroll. And what makes America great is our ability to overcome adversity against all odds. These are extraordinary economic times. Dear IRS, please have faith in Mid Life Celebration, LLC. Thank you.

  1. Make your goal impossible
  2. Start small, I mean seriously small
  3. Plan on it taking the rest of your life
  4. Do it for someone else, someone really (significantly) important
  5. Plan for set backs and mis-steps
  6. Have fun and reward yourself occasionally
  7. (Bonus step) Search, and find, your indomitable will along way

Meanwhile in my zip code, there’s a sea of upscale vehicles, yet the 1990 Toyota suites me perfectly.

There’s even a dinner-plate sized dent on the driver’s front fender.  Was going to have it repaired until I realized how much that road-rage induced dent signified how lucky I am to still be alive.

In America, we are constantly tempted to keep up with the Joneses.  Why?   Because we are afraid of who we really are.

Would you rather be loved for who you’re not or hated for who you are?
