Eye surgery update, mind

Three days ago, two weeks after surgery, a breakthrough in eye surgery recovery.

Awoke with some semblance of images. Beyond simply discerning light from dark.

This is what i and Dr. Kumar hoped for.

Yesterday it was ever so slightly better than the first breakthrough day.

Today, slightly better than yesterday.

The mind is a versatile organ.

The mind has the power to convince us whatever we’re thinking is true.

Couldn’t help but briefly think Dr. Kumar was/is handling me because he doesn’t want me to panic.

From the beginning, he said two to three weeks before i could fly again.

Last night the gas bubble disappeared and i removed the green medical bracelet.

Positive mindset

Regularly stretching your growth mindset boundaries strengthens your mental resilience.

Going into this morning’s second (day-13 post op) follow up eye exam, i already know Dr. Kumar will tell me one of the obvious things i’m acutely aware of.

“There is a decent amount of blood still in your eye.”

What i don’t know is what other insight he will share.

And then there’s the chance weather could close the office today.

Feels good mentally

Today is ‘only’ day four post eye-surgery.

Feels good though.

What?

My attitude.

Not surprised by that.

Neither are you.

That feels good too.

NOT Back to Glacier, mind

Am i disappointed that i’m not on a jet racing to Glacier National Park right now?

No.

Why?

Because i’ve already spent a month hiking in Glacier this Summer.

Plus, this is the 11th consecutive Summer visiting.

No regret nor remorse from this Summer’s second visit being cancelled.
